About the speaker: 

As the first employee of Hepmil, Cassi has dabbled in a few roles such as content creation, account management and business development over the past 5 years. Her background as a strategic planner and designer has also helped her execute successful campaigns on SGAG for clients like McDonald’s, Sony Pictures & Carlsberg. Apart from being the Agency Lead for HCN, she also leads Hepmil’s Innovation & Marketing team, which develops and launches all of Hepmil’s products to the SEA region.

There is a wealth of lessons to be learnt from tourism players who successfully overcame these challenges and built resilience to continuously navigate an uncertain landscape. In this session, Emma Sturgiss, Global Manager of PR at Tourism Australia, will share the marketing and communications strategies deployed by Tourism Australia to generate a long-term demand for travel, amidst shrinking advertising budgets and borders remaining closed.

As Global Manager of Public Relations, Emma is responsible for the management and operation of Tourism Australia's global PR function which includes the organisation's media and broadcast hosting programs, our global press office and developing PR and communications strategies to support global marketing campaigns. She also provides strategic advice and support to Tourism Australia's regional PR teams in 15 international offices to assist them develop and roll-out their own public relations activities.
